How breathtakingly painful it is to go from
joyfully expecting the sound of a heartbeat to
heartbreaking realization as silence fills a tiny room.

Often, it is in the diagnostic imaging room that
a parent first learns that their dreams of baby smiles
and baby kisses have been shattered by early infant loss.

Sometimes, it is in the Doctor's office that those words are spoken
that no parent ever wants to hear, "I'm so sorry".
Perhaps the visit is just a sad formality to confirm
what is already known - Baby is gone and
Mommy and Daddy are left with broken hearts and empty arms.


We are looking to offer a token of sympathy to these parents
in a new community initiative.
We will be collecting teddy bears from our church and the community.
These bears will be available to bereaved parents,
as a gesture of sympathy in the loss of a Little One.

We hope to distribute these bears through our local hospital,
as well as diagnostic imaging labs and doctor's offices
throughout the city of Cambridge.
